Steel Ribbon Wound
Use steel strap when high tensile strength and low elongation is essential.
Ribbon wound or pancake steel strapping is exceptionally strong and durable and is ideal for securing export cases, sharp-edged objects, heavy-duty transport packaging, bundling and pallet banding. Supplied in cold rolled ribbon wound coils with sheared and dressed edges for safety with a black painted finish or zinc treatment for added rust protection.
Each layer of ribbon wound steel strapping is wound directly over the one below, like ribbon or tape, so that the width of the steel strap is the width of the coil itself. Ribbon wound steel strapping coils contain less metal strapping than oscillated/mill wound steel strapping and are therefore lighter, easier to handle and suited to low to medium volume use.
