The UK Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT) came into force on the 1st of April 2022.
It applies to UK manufacturers of plastic packaging, importers of plastic packaging, business customers of manufacturers and importers of plastic packaging, and consumers who buy plastic packaging or goods in plastic packaging in the UK.

UK Plastic Packaging Tax Updates
HMRC has now issued a notification to the packaging industry of an increase to the original £200 per tonne plastic packaging tax bill.
The taxation will now be set at £210.82 per tonne.
This means that any virgin plastic product ordered from the 1st of April 2023, will be subject to increased taxation.
At Hub Packaging, we are committed to providing the most cost-effective, sustainable wrapping materials on the market, without the need to increase the thickness of materials or compromise on performance, which adds further costs to your operation.
If you do not wish to pay the increased tax, please get in touch and consider our range of 30% PCW stretch films, which are exempt from the PPT, as they are created using genuine post-consumer recycled waste.
